Detectives from the Monash Crime Investigation Unit have charged two men after an allegedly stolen black Chrysler, complete with a cargo of jerry cans and baseball bats, was tracked in a pursuit across Melbourne’s eastern suburbs yesterday morning.
The police Air Wing first spotted the vehicle allegedly speeding along Ferntree Gully Road in Oakleigh East about 3:50am. Officers continued to follow the Chrysler across the eastern suburbs by helicopter, with the car making a brief stop at a service station on Highbury Road in Burwood around 4:10am.
