Four kids charged over the bashing that killed much-loved Sunshine shopkeeper Van Viet Truong are walking free while the rest of Melbourne is left to wonder who the hell is next.
The news broke this morning. The youngest pair, two boys, 12 and 13, were bailed earlier this week. Then on Friday the children’s court waved through the other two, a pair of 14-year-old girls. The prosecution didn’t even bother opposing it. Apparently these two young ladies posed “no unacceptable risk to the community.”
