New details have emerged showing both Dimachki brothers were arrested in the same major drug trafficking operation that police smashed in February - and that the raids directly hit gyms linked to them.
Ray Dimachki, sole operator of Rare Breed gyms in South Melbourne and Mordialloc, and his brother Majed Al-Dimachki were both taken into custody during coordinated raids across Melbourne’s southeast on February 27 this year. Police allegedly seized around 3kg of cocaine worth an estimated $1 million, a handgun, an imitation firearm, $175,000 in cash, a pill press and 1kg of boric acid used in drug manufacturing.
